 Nationwide uprising – statement 178

NCRI - Today, Tehran’s Azadi Stadium was the scene of skirmishes between people and the security forces. Protestors chanted “Death to dictator.” The mullahs’ suppressive forces have been preparing for today’s soccer match since yesterday to combat any demonstrations.

Angry crowd torched buses made ready by the security forces to take possible detainees from the stadium. A number of the buses were also set ablaze at Azadi Square in Tehran.
