NCRI – Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance in Dallas
staged a rally on Saturday to protest against mullahs’ meddling in Iraq
and its ploys against People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran based in
Camp Ashraf, north of Baghdad.
They condemned clerical regime’s plans to influence elections in Iraq
as part of its attempt to establish another Islamic fundamentalist
regime in that country. They described PMOI as the obstacle to the
spread of fundamentalism into Iraq and the region and therefore called
for its immediate removal from the terror list and all restrictions to
its activities against the religious dictatorship in Iran.
Demonstrators also called upon Iraqi government and the Coalition
Forces to intervene to get two abducted members of the PMOI released.
Messrs. Hossein Pouyan and Mohammad-Ali Zahedi, were kidnapped on
August 4 by Iranian agents in Baghdad posing as members of the Interior
Ministry Special Forces.
