NCRI – Canadian members of Parliament, Paul Forseth and David Kilgor
called for an end to clerical regime’s meddling in Iraq in solidarity
with Iranian rally in Ottawa on November 22.
Supporters of the Iranian Resistance gathered in front of the Iraqi
embassy in Ottawa on Tuesday to condemn mullahs’ interference in that
country and call for closure of detention and torture centers set up by
the Iranian Intelligence Ministry in Iraq.
Protesters, carrying pictures of two abducted members of the People’s
Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI), also called for their immediate release.
Messers Hossein Pouyan and Mohammad Ali Zahedi were abducted last
August by agents of the Iranian fundamentalist regime posing as members
of the Iraqi Interior Ministry special forces. Their fate still remains
unknown. It is feared that they are currently under torture and they
may be transferred to Iran where they would face execution. Ayatollah
Khomeini, founder of the Islamic fundamentalist regime in Iran, issued
a death sentence for all members of the PMOI.
Demonstrators chanting, “Long live Rajavi, down with mullahs’ terrorist
regime” and “Release two abducted members of the PMOI,” also called for
removal of terror label against the PMOI. |
