NCRI – Fifty students were summoned to Shiraz University's "Disciplinary Committee" on Saturday. Apparently the reason for new move by the school's officials was "immodest dressing" on campus.

Since the start of new Iranian school year on September 22, a total of 70 students have been summoned to the committee.

It is widely believed among the student activists that the real reason for this year calls to the "Disciplinary Committee" was the students standing to suppressive measures imposed on them by government from the very first days.
 
Last year's widespread protests by the same students forced the school administration to give in to some of their demands. However, soon the students realized that all what they have been promised were just gimmicks to breakup their demonstrations.

A year later, many of the active students participating in the past demonstrations are facing disciplinary actions by the school's administrators.
 
Some have been expelled from the university with the blessings of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).
 
All the restrictions did not stop them from starting with new protests.

On October 11, More than 700 students arrived at Fajr Auditorium at 4 p.m. local time where Brig. Gen. Ali Larijani, the mullahs' Majlis (parliament) speaker was supposed to speak. However, the organizers fearing the protesting students blocked all entrances to the main event.

A few students succeeded in breaking the tight security around the building and entered the Fajr Auditorium where Larijani's speech was in progress. Upon their arrival, the protestors interrupted the speech by chanting anti-government slogans such as: "Death to dictator," "Free all imprisoned students," "We don't want an appointed parliament," "We are fighters, men and women, fight us and we will fight."

A student representing the protestors opened his way to the podium and questioned the government policies. The paramilitary Bassij students attacked the podium, stopping the defiant student from speaking.
 
Hundreds of students stopped from entering the auditorium shouted anti Larijani slogans: "Larijani shame on you, leave the university."

Under heavy security, members of the ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) and the agents of the State Security Forces (SSF) –mullahs' suppressive police—cordoned the area by police vehicles facilitating Larijani's exit from the campus.
