Iranian Resistance condemns mullahs' inhuman pressures on political prisoners, demands immediate release of Akbar GanjiIranian Resistance condemns mullahs' inhuman pressures on political prisoners, demands immediate release of Akbar Ganji

The Iranian Resistance condemns the clerical regime's inhuman pressures on Iran's political prisoners and calls on the United Nations' Human Rights Commission, General Assembly and Security Council as well as international human rights organizations to take urgent action to secure the release of all political prisoners, especially Mr. Akbar Ganji and other prisoners who have been on hunger strike.

Having executed or murdered under torture 120,000 political prisoners and condemned in 51 United Nations resolutions, the ruling theocracy must be held to account for the well-being of all prisoners who are in life-threatening circumstances due to prolonged hunger strike.

The clerical regime lacks any legitimacy and its judiciary is part and parcel of the machinery of suppression. Its officials, including those in the judiciary, must be brought before an international tribunal for their crimes against the Iranian people.
