By Marlene Smith Voice of America - Talks between European negotiators and Iran over its controversial nuclear program broke down Friday without any agreement. European officials say the talks were constructive, but Iran was not prepared to suspend parts of its program that could be used to make nuclear weapons. The talks took place in the residence of the German ambassador. |

Germany: No more talks before IAEA meeting
CNN, VIENNA, Austria -- Talks between Iran's top nuclear negotiator and key European foreign ministers ended Friday without a breakthrough on Tehran's nuclear ambitions, the German Foreign Ministry office said. Andrea Berdesinski, a spokeswoman for the ministry, said there would be no more talks before Monday's meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency's board of governors, which is expected to refer the matter to the U.N. Security Council. |

NCRI - The clerical regime's judiciary sentenced five men to death in Tehran.
According to state-run daily Javan and Fars news agency, the five men were identified by their first names as Kheirollah, Gholam, Ebrahim, Mohammad Reza and Vali. Human rights situation in Iran has deteriorated since Ahmadinejad's appointment as mullahs' president last summer. The number of executions has reach 200 during his presidency. |

NCRI - The state-run media announced today that two men were hanged in public in Ahwaz, provincial capital of oil rich Khuzistan.
The two were alleged to have been involved in a bombing in Ahwaz back in October. Khuzistan province was the scene of widespread unrests last summer which lasted several weeks and the regime had to call in reinforcements to impose a curfew to bring the situation under control. 62 people were reported to have been killed in the riots and dozens wounded. Many of those detained in summer have not been yet released and some have already been hanged in public for their involvement in the unrest. |

NCRI - Women protested on Wednesday against a ban which prohibits them from going to football matches.
A group of Iranian girls held a banner in front of Tehran's Azadi football stadium which read, "We do not want to stand 'off side,' we want to be along with our brothers in the national soccer team" pressing the authorities to allow them into the stadium. |
