Secretary General to send fact-finding mission Following heavy clashes during Ahwaz's Bloody Friday yesterday, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, strongly condemned the brutal suppression of the demonstration by people in this city. While offering her condolences to the families of those killed and praying for the recovery of the injured, Mrs. Rajavi called on the people from neighbouring towns in Khuzestan and throughout Iran, from all ethnic backgrounds, to rush to the aid of the people of Ahwaz, especially those of Arab descent under repression.

Iran – election – statement  no. 4 Reports by the Resistance’s observers until 2:00 pm, local time, from 33 cities across Iran indicated that people have decisively boycotted the mullahs’ sham elections. The reports, based on eyewitness accounts by the Resistance’s observers from Tehran, Khash, Babol, Mashad, Isfahan, Tabriz, Hamedan, Yassouj, Shiraz, Qazvin, Damavand, Karaj, Ilam, Kamyaran and dozens of other cities indicate that polling booths were deserted and mostly empty.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, congratulated the nationwide and victorious boycott of the illegitimate presidential election to the Iranian people, describing it as a reflection of a great national resolve to bring down the ruling theocracy and establish democracy in the fettered Iran. Mrs. Rajavi underscored that the mullahs' election was faced with a major wave of popular protests before the vote, which caused unprecedented discord within the regime's leadership and inflicted a heavy blow to the mullahs on election day.
