Iran: Blackmail and intimidation by the mullahs' regime to prevent a new sanction resolution PDF Print E-mail

NCRI - The mullahs' regime has resorted to blackmail and intimidation to prevent a new UN sanction resolution. To that end, the regime's Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the French ambassador to Tehran and censured that country's policy toward the regime's nuclear program. Before anything else such behavior is a sign of its fear of a resolution with more binding measures.

European Parliament cites EU Court of Justice and UK court rulings urges removal of People's Mojahedin Organization from terror list

Maryam Rajavi: Council of Ministers' defiance of the European people's representatives and court rulings emboldens mullahs to intensify their suppression at home, pursue nuclear weapons, increase violent meddling in Iraq, and export of fundamentalism

NCRI - The European Parliament adopted a resolution, condemning systematic and flagrant violations of human rights in Iran and underscoring the rulings of the European Court of Justice, and the UK Court (Proscribed Organizations Appeal Commission) which annulled the designation of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in the EU terror list. It called for the removal of PMOI from the terror list.

Iran: The mullahs' judiciary chief fearing the volatile state of the society ordered death penalty should be carried out behind closed doors

Dozens of political prisoners transferred from all over the country to Tehran's Gohardasht and Evin Prisons
Five prisoners were hanged in Evin prison and twenty-three others are facing the gallows

NCRI - The mullahs' judiciary chief, Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, fearing the volatile state of the society especially that of the youths has ordered death penalty should be carried out behind close doors. This is a new tactic by the Iranian regime to carryout other heinous crimes such as amputating limbs and gouging eyes behind scenes.

Dozens of political prisoners from across Iran transferred to Tehran's Gohardasht and Evin Prisons PDF Print E-mail

NCRI - The mullahs' odious regime with the intention of putting more pressure on political prisoners has transferred a number of them to maximum security prisons holding common and dangerous criminals, according to information received from the Resistance sources inside Iran.

Twenty-four political prisoners from various penitentiaries throughout the country such as Naqadeh and Orumieh in the northwest and Chalous in the north have been transferred to notorious Gohardasht (Rajahi-Shahr) prison. Gohardasht is a maximum security prison 40 km west of the capital Tehran holding common criminals, murderers and armed rubbery convicts.

A young man on death row for a crime committed when he was only 14
NCRI - Two prisoners identified as Yazdan Karimi and Abutaleb Mohammadi Nasab were hanged in public in Sardar Square in the central city of Arak, the official news agency IRNA reported today.

A prisoner identified as Hamid P. was hanged in public in Mother Square in the western city of Khorramabad, IRNA reported on January 22.

Council of Europe: POAC ruling on Mojahedin of Iran a slap in the face of UK government PDF Print E-mail

Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly describes the ruling by POAC to de-proscribe the PMOI a slap in the face for HM Government and calls on member states to abide by orders handed down by the judicial institutions 

Maryam Rajavi said that the EU Council is defying the judicial and legislative institutions and called on member states not to allow the continuation of such a scandal and lawlessness

NCRI - In its session today, Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly adopted the draft report and resolution on the terrorist lists prepared by its Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights (CLAHR). Citing the report, the resolution reiterated that "The Council of the European Union and the EU Member States must implement immediately the decisions of competent European and national judicial institutions affecting the status of the listed persons or entities."  

The report criticized the EU Council for not implementing the verdict by Court of First Instance of the European Communities (CFIEC) in removing the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) from the EU terror list.  The report added, "PMOI's fundamental rights continue to be violated." The report also noted that the ruling by the Proscribed Organizations Appeal Commission (POAC) ordering the British government to deproscribe the PMOI was "a real slap in the face for HM Government."

Iran: Jalili's presence in EU Parliament is aimed at buying more time for Iran's nuclear dossier PDF Print E-mail

NCRI - The Iranian Resistance strongly condemns the invitation of Saeed Jalili, the mullahs' Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) to speak at the EU Parliament and his possible further talks with the EU and Belgium officials. The Resistance also calls for the cancellation of all such meetings.  

Shaking the hands of a culprit of a quarter century of suppression, torture and execution of Iranian people, and also war mongering and export of terrorism and fundamentalism to the rest of the world, is nothing but to keep afar from basic democratic principles.
