Iran regime jailed three students despite court ruling PDF Print E-mail

 NCRI -The state-run dailies reported on April 15 that three students from Tehran's Amir Kabir University (Polytechnic) were given prison terms despite ruling by the clerical court in December 2007.

Alireza Jamshidi, the clerical regime's Judiciary spokesman, announced their new sentences as; "Majid Tavakoli to 30 months, Ahmad Qasaban to 26 months and Ehsan Mansouri to 22 months."

Iran: Three prisoners hanged in Sari and Semnan PDF Print E-mail

Sample ImageNCRI - The mullahs' inhuman regime hanged two prisoners identified as H. H. and R. SH. in the northern city of Sari, reported the official news agency IRNA on Sunday.

Another prisoner named P. P. was sent to gallows in the eastern city of Semnan, according to IRNA on April 9.

They burned used tires to block the highway between Tehran and Islamshahr, a western suburb of the capital, to draw commuters' attention traveling to Tehran. Striking workers have not been paid off in the past few months.

NCRI - Workers at Haft Tapeh Sugar Cane factory in Shoosh, southern Iran, continued their strike on the fifth day running today. On April 12, the striking workers staged protest outside the office of the factory manager, Yaqoub Shafiee, demanding payment of their unpaid salaries.

Maryam Rajavi called for public's support to the striking workers 
NCRI - 5,000 workers walked out in protest at the Sugar Cane Factory in the southern city of Shoosh on Tuesday, April 9. The workers went on strike when their agreement with the management over the pay disputes last February was not honored immediately. All employees participated in the recent protest including workers in production and cane-cutting sections.

Workers in this factory went on strike over their unpaid salaries in October of 2007 and then again in February and March.

Sample ImageNCRI - Brig. Gen. Esmail Ahmadi-Moqadam chief of the State Security Force (SSF) -- the suppressive police – announced new "plans" in the year ahead, the state television reported on Monday.

He stressed on the need for more undercover police tactics to control the public and said, "It is not possible in a society that has the habit of 'seeing is believing' to change that attitude over night. It takes time to move from a completely open police presence to undercover policing. We will do it step by step. However, we move in the direction of more undercover surveillance... We have to first develop the frame work for under cover policing such as surveillance cameras, GPS's, and other techniques."

NCRI- Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, described today's remarks by Ahmadinejad on "starting to install 6,000 centrifuges" in Natanz as a clear indication of the clerical regime's accelerating drive to obtain the nuclear bomb. She urged the UN Security Council to adopt a firm policy and to impose comprehensive and immediate sanctions against the regime.
