Iran-Jordan: Jordan ties Iranian regime to group behind Amman bombings PDF Print E-mail

NCRI, November 12 – Highlighting the recent bombings in Amman, Jordan, which left 57 civilians dead and up to 200 wounded, Prince Hassan of Jordan deplored the act in an interview with CNN on Friday, November 11. Jordan officially blamed the terror attacks on Al-Qaeda.

In his interview with CNN, Prince Hassan reiterated: “Iran is very much where the Al-Qaeda refugees find safe haven.”

Blair, addressing a monthly news conference Monday, said: "We know Iran supports terrorism around the Middle East it should stop it; until it stops it, there will be a deep dismay about the Iranian regime right 'round the world. They've just got to accept that," Blair said.

British Defence Secretary John Reid Agence France Presse, October 13 - British Defence Secretary John Reid issued a new warning to Iran and the militant group Hezbollah on Thursday over a recent series of bomb attacks on British troops in Iraq.
 
"The nature of these leads us to believe that they are associated or originating with Hezbollah -- Hezbollah, associated with, supported by the Iranians," he told reporters at Lyneham airbase in southwest England.

ImageReuters, LONDON, October 12 - Britain has accused Iran of running training camps to teach militants how to carry out roadside bomb attacks on British troops in southern Iraq, according to newspaper reports on Wednesday.

London believes Iran's Revolutionary Guard has taught Shi'ite militia members from Iraq how to make armor-piercing devices, the Daily Mirror reported, citing an unnamed defense source.

The Sunday Telegraph, October 9 - Iran's new hardline president has placed his country's nuclear programme under the control of militant commanders of the Revolutionary Guards, the military's most committed wing.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has launched a purge of moderates in national and provincial government since his election two months ago, has drafted in fellow radical revolutionaries to top administrative posts - a move that will heighten Western fears over Iran's nuclear ambitions.
