Khamenei and AhmadinejadNicht nur der iranische Präsident macht sich Gedanken über das Schicksal Israels: Das geistliche Oberhaupt Irans, Ajatollah Khamenei, fordert in der Nahost-Frage ein globales Referendum. Ein solches Verfahren birgt große Chancen. Es kommt nur auf die Ausführung an.
 
Die Aufregung über den Vorschlag des iranischen Staatspräsidenten Mahmud Ahmadinedschad, Israel nach Europa zu verlegen, hat sich noch nicht gelegt, da kommt aus Iran wieder eine neue Idee zur Lösung der Nahost-Frage. Der Vorsitzende des iranischen Wächterrates, Ajatollah Ali Khamenei, hat im iranischen Staatsfernsehen gesagt, es sollte eine "weltweite Abstimmung" über Israel und die palästinensischen Gebiete abgehalten werden.

Germany to seek UN censure on Iranian regime PDF Print E-mail

ImageNCRI - Germany is looking for UN’s punishment of the mullahs’ regime following remarks by its president Ahmadinejad on Israel.

Thomas de Mazieres, chief of staff of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, told the Welt am Sonntag newspaper on Saturday: "We are looking at (possible) measures at the level of the UN."

Mullahs’ President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has caused international outrage with a series of anti-Israeli remarks in recent weeks.

GCC membersNCRI - Leaders of six pro-U.S. Gulf Arab states meet on Sunday to discuss Iranian regime’s nuclear ambitions and a U.N.-Syria standoff, concerned that an escalation of these disputes could rock a region already suffering from instability in Iraq.

"There is concern that Iran's nuclear program could be weaponized. At the end of the day they (Iranians) are building a nuclear reactor across the Gulf," one Gulf official said according to Reuters.

ImageAssociated Press - Iran could face sanctions if it keeps provoking Israel and the West, European leaders warned Saturday, even as the Tehran regime's interior minister said the Iranian president's remarks had been "misunderstood."

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad aggravated tensions with the West this week by calling the Holocaust a "myth," a statement that came two months after he called for Israel to be "wiped off the map."

Speaking to reporters via video-link from Baghdad on Friday, General George Casey, who commands US forces in Iraq, said: "I don't have hard, smoking gun-type evidence, but the intelligence we have tells us they invested heavily in political parties supportive of Iran in the south."

The German deputies condemned mullahs’ president’s comments on the Holocaust and  Israel’s relocation as "totally unacceptable" and "incompatible with the norms of the international community and the history of the 20th and 21st century."

``Contrary to what some say in the West, there are no differences between Ahmadinejad and Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei,'' said Mohammad Mohaddessin, chairman of the National Council of Resistance of Iran' s foreign affairs committee. ``All of Ahmadinejad's positions, including his stance on Israel, had the full backing of Khamenei.''
