Its mission is to campaign against the trip by Iran’s new President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to New York City, scheduled for mid-September.  NCRI, August 27 – New aspects of Iranian secret nuclear activities which has alarmed the world was exposed in a press conference in Rome on Friday, August 26.
Mahmoud Hakamian, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the NCRI referred to information obtained by the Iranian Resistance on mullahs’ efforts to obtain tritium which is essential for nuclear bomb and stressed that the regime had been after this sensitive substance despite ban by the IAEA. According to nuclear experts, working on tritium is a strong indication of the regime’s intention to make nuclear bomb. |

 AFP, WASHINGTON, Aug 26 - A prominent Iranian dissident on Friday claimed Tehran had mastered the design of nuclear capable cruise missiles secretly sold to the Islamic Republic by Ukraine and was on the verge of producing copies.
Alireza Jafarzadeh said the 12 weapons were now in the hands of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards, and also fired off new claims about the corps' past links with disgraced Pakistani nuclear scientist AQ Khan. |

 NCRI, August 26 - According to news agencies, after meeting Dr. Mohammad ElBaradei, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, this morning, Brig. Gen. Ali Larijani, new Supreme National Security Council secretary and in charge of Iran's nuclear file, sought an expansion of negotiations with other members of the IAEA. He said that the clerical regime would offer a new plan concerning its nuclear programs to the European Union in one month. |

 Reuters, Brussels, August 25 - Iranian agents have tried to obtain from South Korea a substance that can be used to boost nuclear explosions in atomic weapons, an Iranian exile group said on Thursday.
The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), which has in the past provided accurate information on hidden Iranian nuclear activities, said Tehran had used front companies to obtain the substance, a hydrogen isotope known as tritium. |
