U.S. Newswire, NEW YORK, September 1 - Building on the unity it has generated among Iranian-Americans and other communities in the campaign against terrorism since its formation, the 'New York Committee against Ahmadinejad (NYCA)' will hold a peaceful rally against Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on September 14, 2005 outside the United Nations Headquarters in New York. He is scheduled to attend a UN General Assembly meeting.

Iran: EU again warns Iran on nuclear program

European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana Agence France Presse, NEWPORT, Wales, September 1 - The European Union said on Thursday that it may refer Iran to the UN Security Council for possible sanctions over its nuclear program after it breached an accord with the European bloc.

Speaking at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers, EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana said the bloc was watching to see if Iran would comply with a deadline this week set by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Iran-nuclear: China Gave Iran Beryllium For Nuclear Program

Hossein Abedini in London ConferenceAssociated Press, LONDON, September 1 - Iran obtained 20 kilograms of beryllium for its nuclear weapons program from China last year, an Iranian opposition group claimed Thursday.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran didn't identify the source of its claim, but it said the beryllium was imported by the Madj Gostar company.

"The Islamic Republic (of Iran) should be thinking of establishing a United States of Islamic Republics instead of seeking rapprochement with Europe. According to Islam and Moslem scholars no one is allowed to kill the innocent civilians of an aggressive state within the context of legitimate defense. But Israel is an exception and this rule does not apply and as the people of Israel are aggressors themselves, therefore, the Islamic scholars believe that although fighting the Israeli soldiers takes priority, but attacking and killing Israeli people is justified in this fight,”  according to Fars.

Iran-Nuclear: Opposition claims Iranian regime smuggled material for nuclear bomb

Parviz Khazai at Stockholm nuclear press conferenceAFP, STOCKHOLM, September 1 - The main Iranian opposition group charged here on Thursday that the country's Islamic regime has smuggled 20 kilos (44 pounds) of Beryllium with the aim of using it to make nuclear bombs.

"The (Iranian) ministry of defense is vigorously trying to obtain Beryllium. This includes smuggling 20 kilos of Beryllium from China in 2004 for use in the regime's nuclear weapons project," Perviz Khazai, an official in the Scandinavian branch of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), told reporters in Stockholm.

Reuters, VIENNA, September 1 - Iran obtained from China a substantial amount of a metal that has many civilian uses but can also be used in an atomic bomb, an Iranian exile group said on Thursday.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), which is listed as a terrorist organisation by the U.S. State Department but has provided accurate information on secret Iranian nuclear activities, said Iran obtained beryllium from China in 2004.

"The (Iranian) Ministry of Defence is vigorously trying to obtain beryllium. This includes smuggling 20 kg (44 pounds) of beryllium from China in 2004 for use in the regime's nuclear weapons project," the NCRI said in a statement.

NCRI, September 1 - ABC news reported last night that the State Department had found Ahmadinejad to be a "terrorist" and ineligible to receive a visa to enter the United States. However, because of its obligations to the United Nations, it would not oppose his visit to New York to take part in the upcoming United Nations General Assembly meeting.
