Iran-Nuclear: Iranians call for immediate referral of mullahs' nuclear file to UN Security Council

Iranians demonstrating in CopenhagenNCRI, October 7 - Dozens of supporters of the Iranian Resistance in Copenhagen and Oslo gathered in front of the embassies of the Russian Federation and South Africa to call for these countries’ support of mullahs’ nuclear file referral to the UN Security Council.

In Oslo gathering Mr. Parviz Khazai, NCRI representative to Nordic countries, reminded these countries of their dark days before they gained their freedom and democracy. He particularly spoke of the support given to the people of South Africa by Iranians in their struggle against apartheid and said: “Fundamentalism is a global threat and a nuclear weapon in the hands of Iranian regime, the God father of international terrorism and fundamentalism, will seriously threaten peace and security in the world.”

Iran: Islamic Fundamentalism, New Global Threat - London conference

Ryder WhalleyNCRI, October 7 – World is now facing a growing threat from the Islamic fundamentalism which requires an in-depth study. Ayatollah Jalal Ganjei, chair of the NCRI committee on religious freedom together with other experts addressed this issue in a conference on October 5 in London’s Foreign Press Association.

Azadeh Zabeti, lawyer and deputy chair of the British- Iranian Lawyers Association started the conference by remarks on terrorist activities under the name of Islam and mullahs’ tyrannical rule in Iran over the past 26 years and called for an international cooperation against Islamic fundamentalism stemming from Iran. Zabeti then called on Ayatollah Ganjei to address the conference on this pressing issue.

Financial Times, October 6 - Rarely have British officials been so outspoken in criticising Iran. London has always been cautious in linking Tehran with the insurgency that has dogged efforts to rebuild Iraq after the US-led invasion. Yesterday, though, just days ahead of a crucial vote on the country's new constitution, something snapped.

The warning to Tehran that it stop interfering in its neighbour's affairs reflects long-standing western concern that elements of the Iranian regime have been in contact with Sunni insurgents and a faction of a radical Shia group.

Iran-Human Rights: Canada to put forward UN resolution on Iran rights

Reuters, OTTAWA - Canada will put forward a resolution at the United Nations for the third year in a row accusing Iran of human rights violations, Foreign Minister Pierre Pettigrew said on Wednesday.

"Iran has not lived up to its international human rights obligations and has not conformed with past U.N. resolutions on this matter. We believe this must change," Pettigrew said.
