Rajavi welcomes referral of Iranian regime’s nuclear file to Security CouncilCalls for comprehensive sanctions and removal of PMOI from terror list
        
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, welcomed the decision by the IAEA's Board of Governors to refer the Iranian regime's nuclear file to the UN Security Council. She called the move a first and necessary step in preventing Tehran's acquisition of nuclear weapons and called for immediate adoption of oil, weapons, technological, and diplomatic sanctions against the regime. "The only way to confront and thwart the mullahs' deceit and obfuscation is swift action and not to give them anymore time," she added.

Text of IAEA statement on Iran Agence France Presse - The following is the text of the resolution passed Saturday by the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Iran:

The Board of Governors,
(a) Recalling all the resolutions adopted by the Board on Irans nuclear programme,
(b) Recalling also the Director Generals reports,
(c) Recalling that Article IV of the Treaty on the Non Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons stipulates that nothing in the Treaty shall be interpreted as affecting the inalienable rights of all the Parties to the Treaty to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes without discrimination and in conformity with Articles I and II of the Treaty,

IAEA to report Iran to UN Security Council - diplomatReuters - The U.N. nuclear watchdog's board of governors voted on Saturday to report Iran to the U.N. Security Council over concerns Tehran is secretly seeking atomic weapons, a diplomat said.

The diplomat said a European Union-sponsored resolution aimed at increasing pressure on Iran to improve its cooperation with an International Atomic Energy Agency probe of its nuclear programme was passed by the 35-nation IAEA board.

Sen. Brownback: U.S. must fund Iran groupsThe United Press International, WASHINGTON - A top Republican lawmaker Thursday called for a tenfold increase in U.S. aid to support democratic change and human rights inside Iran.

In a speech at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan., called for U.S. aid to be increased from $10 million to $100 million this year.

"This is a pittance compared to the problem," said Brownback, "This Iranian government, even without nuclear weapons, is a viscous tyrant."
