NCRI – The mullahs' suppressive regime imposed an undeclared martial law on Tehran's bazaar following the added-value tax regulation.
Scores of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Special Anti-Riot Units coupled with plain-cloths agents of the notorious Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) were roaming around Tehran's bazaar forcing shopkeepers to open their businesses on Tuesday. |

NCRI – A large number of Isfahan bazaar merchants and youths arrested following the value-added tax law ended up in ward "D" of the city's prison, according to the Resistance sources in Iran on Tuesday.
The bazaaris have occupied all solitary confinement cells in block D in the central city of Isfahan maximum security prison. Ward "D" is the equivalent of the dreaded ward 209 of the notorious Tehran's Evin prison which is run by the agents of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS). |

Background: The Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) has an office called the Elteqat Office, which is tasked with confronting the activities of and campaigning against the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI). In October 2005, during the tenure of Mohseni Ejei, the Elteqat created a legal section to confront the PMOI. The public face of this legal section was a so-called NGO entitled Habilian. Its members are claimed to be the children of those who the regime alleges were killed during the 1980’s confrontations with the PMOI. In reality, Habilian is the “Office of Legal Mobilization against the PMOI at the MOIS.” |

NCRI - Hundreds of students protested to a scheduled speech by Brig. Gen. Ali Larijani, Mullahs Majlis (Parliament) speaker in Shiraz University, reported semi-official news agency Fars on Thursday.
More than 700 students arrived at Fajr Auditorium at 4 p.m. local time where Larijani was supposed to speak. However, the organisers fearing the protesting students blocked all entrances to the main event. |
